According to the sources at N4BB, we can expect an official announcement sometime in August in regards to something actually new from BlackBerry.   Last time we heard anything about BlackBerry 10 devices, RIM was previously awaiting LTE dual-core processor that wouldn’t become available until the middle of this year.   According to N4BB’s intel, we now have a date to narrow down consumer’s expectations.

So we have a mid-August announcement for a BB10 device and a full launch in early October.  The initial device is slated to be a full-touchscreen device and a QWERTY-keyboard device expected sometime within the first quarter of 2013.   RIM is expected to spend quite a large amount of $$$ into the BlackBerry 10 marketing campaign.   Hopefully BlackBerry loyalists will think the wait was worth it.
