Starting today, you can pick the latest in Android-powered, Samsung Mobile products with the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Galaxy Player 4.2.   Both devices are to be improvements of previous Samsung Android products.  Offering their products with a better price point to better compete within the market.

The revamped Tab 2 10.1 is running Android 4.0 w/ TouchWiz UX, powered by a 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, dual cameras (VGA in front & 3MP in the rear), HD display w/ 1280 x 800 resolution (but no Super AMOLED), microSD card slot for storage expansion, and IR blaster to use with Peel as universal remote.   The Wi-Fi only tablet is priced handsomely at $399.99 to compete with the iPad 2.  

The Galaxy Player runs Android 2.3 (sigh), powered by a 1GHz processor, 8GB of storage, dual cameras (VGA in front & 2MP in the rear), 4.2inch display (no HD), and preloaded with Angry Birds, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, and FIFA 2012.  The Wi-Fi media player is sporting a $199.99 price tag in attempt to go head-to-head with the iPod Touch.

These two are now available in a variety of retailers like: Amazon, Best Buy, hhgregg, Tiger Direct, Walmart and Office Depot.
