If you are like me, you may have waiting for Apple to unveil a new iMac or even a Mac Pro yesterday.  Although they did quietly make the Mac Pro a little more powerful by beefing up their processors to a 3.2GHz quad-core processor that goes up to a 3.3GHz six-core Xenon processor, it was not the redesigned model rumors were suggesting.   NY Times writer David Pogue was tipped off by someone at Apple that they are coming next year.   Pogue had this to say on the matter:

Many Apple observers also wonder if Apple thinks that desktop computers are dead, since not a word was said about the iMac and Mac Pro. An executive did assure me, however, that new models and new designs are under way, probably for release in 2013.

I have waited this long for an iMac, what’s another year.
