Matching what we reported earlier this week, Google announced their first Nexus tablet called the Nexus 7. The Nexus 7 specs matches the same ones that were rumored. The new ASUS-built Nexus tablet runs the latest Android 4.1 OS as it is packed with a 7inch HD IPS display w/ 1280 x800 resolution + 216ppi, powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 12-core GPU for a great gaming experience, 1GB of RAM, 1.2MP front-facing camera (no rear-facing one), NFC, GPS, and a 4325 mAh battery. The Nexus tablet offers no expandable physical storage in case you were wondering.
The N7 comes in two storage sizes, 8GB ($199) and 16GB ($249). The Nexus 7 is will be available in the Google Play Store coming in 2-3 weeks with pre-orders happening right now.
