Announced back during CES, the Sony Xperia Ion for AT&T finally gets its pricing and launch details. The Ion is armed with a 4.6inch 720p HD Reality Display w/ Mobile BRAVIA HD Engine, 1.5GHz dual-core S3 processor, 16GB of storage, dual cameras (1MP in front & 12MP Exmor-R) capable of HD video, and certified for PlayStation gaming. Unfortunately, the Ion will launch running Android 2.3.7 rather than the new standard of 4.0. I imagine it will be upgradeable to ICS but who knows when. Starting on June 24th, AT&T subscribers can pick up the latest Android device from Sony for only $99.99 on contract. Can’t be mad at this price point though.
