Earlier this morning, Nikon unveiled their latest CoolPix shooter but this with a twist. That CoolPix is the S800c that offers a 16MP sensor w/ a 25-250mm wide-angle lens + 10 x optical zoom, capable of shooting in 1080p HD video@30fps, GPS/Wi-Fi enabled, and a 3.5inch OLED touchscreen. This also runs Android 2.3 w/ full access to the Google Play store & 2GB of storage. Having Wi-Fi on-board, makes it easy to store & upload photos using Dropbox, Google+, Instagram, and even uploading YouTube videos.
The S800c will ship with a $349.95 price tag and will become available in September and will ship in Black or White colors. The CoolPix S800C is now available for pre-order at B&H. This is an interesting idea turned into reality, I hope it is executed well.
