During their press conference today at CES, Pebble is finally ready to begin shipping its smart watches out very soon.  For those of you who don’t know, Pebble is a Bluetooth smart watch  w/ an e-paper display (144 x 168 resolution) that is one of KickStarter’s success stories.   With Pebble you can change watch faces, read incoming emails/text/Facebook/Twitter messages + alerts, view calendar alerts and act as a Caller ID to whoever is calling you via vibrating notifications.
Pebble is compatible with Android and iOS devices as it is also scratchproof and water-resistant.  The smart watch has some app support at launch with the ability to track miles ran, use as a bike computer for cyclists, control your smartphones music, or use as a golf rangefinder by accessing your smartphone’s GPS.  Inside is a rechargeable battery that lasts over 7 days.  
Pebble’s smart watch has a $150 price tag on it and comes Arctic White, Jet Black, Cherry Red, Orange, and Grey colors. Beginning on January 23rd, those who pre-ordered the watch back in its KickStarter days will get theirs as they will ship in the order received.  If you haven’t ordered one, it”s not too late.
