The guys over at CrackBerry answered the question previous BlackBerry owners forgot to ask: Will my new Z10 need a BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) or a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server)?   The answer is no.  With the revamp of the BlackBerry OS, the platform now uses a standard data plan instead of the previous specialized plan.

Those of you currently on a one of two BlackBerry plans won’t have to make any changes, other than getting a new microSIM card for your Z10 or Q10.  The only downside is for those who were on a less-expensive, BBM/email data-only plan won’t work on the new BB10 devices.  You will have to pay up for a standard data plan when you upgrade.

Good bit of info to know as you will have to wait another month to actually buy one here in the states.
