No more having to end calls before heading underground to catch a train. Cellular and Wi-Fi service have been added to 30 NYC subway stations making the it now a total of 36. Thanks to AT&T, Boingo Wireless and T-Mobile (Sprint and Verizon are currently in talks of adding coverage) working with Transit Wireless to give travelers additional cellular coverage.
In reality you would only get a few more minutes of convo but you get my drift.
This is definitely great news as by 2016, they hope to have all of the subway stations covered with service. Now if they could find a way to keep the service going on a train, that would be nice. Anyways, below lies a list of all of the covered subway stations.
