Even though Google I/O 2013 has come and gone, Google is still dropping some fresh treats for its many users – specifically Gmail. Today they announced new tabs to help keep your inbox more organized and easier to filter through the more important emails. Here’s what new features you can look out for.
The new Gmail inbox will be broken down in five new categories: Primary, Social, Offers, Notifications, & Forums. You can swipe from the left to better navigate through the different types of email.
Primary – family, friends, & other communication that can’t be categorized.
Social – social media like Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc.
Offers – daily deal sites, retailers, & merchants.
Notifications – reservations, flight details, & payment confirmation of bills.
Forums – any forums or messageboards you are a part of.
