As we reported previously, LG was in the works to make a White version of their popular Nexus 4 device. Everything else remains the same. You still get the 4.7inch IPS display w/ 1280 x 768 resolution + 320 ppi, powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, and running Android 4.2. Which is still a great smartphone as you get pure Android and quick updates directly from Google. The White Nexus is launching on May 29th overseas and is coming to the US in ‘coming weeks’.
LG isn’t confirming whether or not they will or won’t be involved in the next Nexus smartphone.
In other LG-related Nexus news, the company’s European VP stated the company is currently not involved in the Nexus program at the moment as they have no intentions on crafting the new pure Google smartphone. LG doesn’t want to depend on Android for everything and are currently seeking out other platforms to create devices for. That doesn’t necessarily mean that if Google approached them to do it again, that they would turn it down. The company doesn’t want to put all of their eggs in one basket.
