After being sold to Dropbox for $100 million, Orchestra (the company behind the Mailbox app) has been quiet the past few months. The app has made its way to the iPad to take on other Gmail-supported email clients. Mailbox was created to help achieve a zero inbox by archiving and snoozing emails. When the app launched for the iPhone, they used a reservation system which made interested users have to wait their turn to give it a spin.
Not sure if the momentum of the app’s popularity is still relevant as Gmail and other clients are still offering more native Gmail features within their apps. I am a still avid user of Mailbox but not really for the reasons it was created for. We put Gmail & Mailbox against each other for the iPhone for more details on why I use it. But you can hit the link below to try it for yourself if you haven’t already.
