In a surprising move, Verizon is the first carrier to be in the works of an early upgrade program of their own. Just last week, T-Mobile unveiled their Jump! program that allows subscribers to upgrade their device up to 2 times in one year. The folks over at Droid-Life got a hold of a document showing what VZW has up their sleeve. For an undisclosed monthly fee, subscribers can trade-in their device to upgrade after paying 50% of it off. I can imagine similar to T-Mo, Verizon will resell the returned devices as refurbished/used for a cheaper price point. Expect VZW to announce this new plan on or around August 25th.
