As the suggested announcement date of September 4 getting closer, we now have even more news on Samsung’s smart watch: the Galaxy Gear. The company’s forthcoming smart watch will be making its debut at IFA in Berlin next week. In an interview with the Korean Times, Lee Young-Hee, executive vice president of Samsung Mobile said, “We will be introducing a new wearable concept device called Galaxy Gear at our own event in Berlin on September 4th.” There is more details that have been unearthed below.
Late last night, the notorious @Evleaks posted an image displaying the synching software that will accompany the smart watch. Dubbed the Galaxy Gear Manager as it will connect your smartphone w/ the watch via NFC. You will have access to several Samsung apps (no Google apps seen as of yet) along w/ an interesting Find My Watch feature. We do expect to see more leaks between now and the 4th.
