We must be getting closer to the official unveiling as these Kit Kat leaks are happening more and more frequently. We previously showed you the new look for the phone & messaging apps and got a good look at the Nexus 5 via the FCC and a recently leaked service manual. The Italian site Tutto Android got their hands-on the new hardware and took some photos to share w/ the world.
As you can see, Kit Kat has some interesting changes to the visuals. The launcher on the homescreen is more refined. The icons are bigger in the app drawer. Google Photos appear to have replaced the Gallery app. You can still access the camera from the lockscreen as you would now drag the Camera icon to the small circle launcher.
According to the site’s sources, the Nexus 5 will have an always-listening mode like on the Moto X (OK, Google Now). Also, the Hangouts app will offer built-in text-messaging as we mentioned earlier this week. The event has been rumored to happen as early as next week. Whenever it is, we will see what other surprises Google has in store for us.
