Yesterday Google let the world and their Google Glass Explorers that they could trade their current version of Glass in for a slightly updated model. This allowed users to swap out for another color along with invite up to three friends to become an Explorer (as they would still have to pay that $1,500 fee). We didn’t know what the newer version offered until earlier today.
Google took to Google+ to show off the new look. At 1st glance, it looks damn-near the same until you notice the little things. The new model now supports prescription lenses (can be worn w/ glasses in other words) and now has a single earbud that plugs into the Glass micro-USB port. Looks like Google may get closer to launch and perhaps they are ready for mass production.
