There is a new version of Facebook Messenger that is floating around the Google Play Store for some lucky Android users. Back in October, Facebook released a new version of their messaging client with a brand new UI. It was initially only pushed out to a very limited user base as almost a beta test. The app was updated again a few weeks later and the app was restored to the old familiar UI. It seems that Facebook yesterday (November 13), made the new version of Messenger available to a lot more people as well as Apple’s App Store.
Other than the new look, you can chat with people who are not friends using only their phone number, once you input your own number first. If you are a big Facebook Messenger fan this one’s for you, and we don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
