Word on the street is that Samsung is looking to step things up a bit this year w/ their flagship Galaxy S device.  They are looking to finally move away from the all-plastic design and go for a more premium look.  This wouldn’t surprise many especially w/ the Note 3 & Note 10.1 2014 Edition sporting a more exceptional presence.

The Galaxy S5 is said to offer a metal body design to beat HTC at their own game alongside side superior specs.  Like the 64-bit CPU, 3GB of RAM, 16MP rear-facing camera, and a 4000 mAh battery.  Also, the GS5 is supposed to offer a Quad HD display w/ 2560 x 1440 resolution – the same as a 27inch iMac.  Don’t expect the screen size to jump up too high as anything past 5.5inches will step into Galaxy Note territory.

Believe it or not Samsung will also incorporate a built-in iris scanner as an alternative approach to biometric security features.  The iris scanner makes sense as a new addition to their eye-tracking abilities that would probably go under the name Smart Security or something.
Oh, and its supposed to come sooner than you think.  Rumors peg the announcement sometime around February.  Keep it locked here and we will let you know if this actually comes to pass.
