At Sony’s CES event earlier today, they confirmed the total sales figures for their next-gen console. As of December 28th, 2013, Sony has sold 4.2 million PlayStation 4 consoles to beat Microsoft with their announcement from yesterday. With only 2.1 million sold as of December 3rd, they were able to sell another 2.1 million in two weeks as part of the holiday rush. It took a new console to do it but Sony has finally regained the crown for the best-selling console…for now.
