The wait to see what Amazon has been working on may come to a close next week. Invites just went out to the press for an event discussing an update to the video business. I highly doubt they will just hold an event for JUST their Instant Video streaming service. Looks like all of their cards are in place for them to launch their entry into your home.
We discussed the possible leaks and strategies they may use. So far we’re looking at a Chromecast-like dongle w/ a video game controller to support gaming via the cloud as well as support for full PC games. It would run a customized version of Android like they did w/ the Kindle Fire family of tablets. And be tied into an Amazon Prime account to access all of the features.
The event kicks off live next Wednesday at 11AM.
