Porsche is no stranger to the Auto Show as this year they’re adding new vehicles to their lineup. They have 4 of them on the showroom floor on display. An entirely new model, the refreshed return of another, and hybrid versions of previous model. You got the Macan, the 911 Targa, the 918 Spyder & Panamera S E-Hybrid.
The new 911 Targa 4 is your typical 911 roadster but w/ a cabriolet-style removable hardtop. The Targa 4 is powered by a 3.4-liter 6-cyclinder engine w/ 350hp. It can go from 0 to 60mph in 4.6 seconds w/ a top speed of 174mph in automatic +175mph in manual. The Targa 4 comes in an S type as well. The Targa 4S sports a 3.8-liter engine w/ 400hp as it can go from 0 to 60mph in 4.2 seconds + hit a top speed of 183mph.
The Targa 4 will set you back $101,600 and the 4S $116,200. Both will be arriving this summer.
Next up we have the Macan S – think of this as a slightly smaller Cayenne SUV. The Macan still retains the beauty + speed of Porsche. Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine w/ 340hp an can go form 0 to 60mph in 5.0 seconds. The Macan comes in a Turbo Edition as it sports a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine @400hp. It goes from 0 to 60mph in 4.4 seconds.
The Macans will arrive sometime late Spring w/ the S starting at $49,900 and the Turbo at $72,300.
And finally, we have the 918 Spyder and Panamera E-Hybrids. Porsche wanted to combine its high-speed performance w/ an plug-in electric motor. While some Porsche enthusiasts might be pissed that the company is even doing a hybrid, its still happening.
The 918 Spyder is armed w/ an additional electric motor to offer maximum efficiency & minimum consumption. The main engine is a 4.6-liter, 8-cylinder engine that produces 608 hp as the electric one is a 115 kW engine capable of 156 hp. Offering the silence + effectiveness of an electric vehicle. The best of both worlds. The pricing is not though as this will set you back $845,000 and go as high as $929,000.
The Panamera S E-Hybrid is the next in line form their S Hybrid line of vehicles. This one is powered by a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine that’s capable of 416hp & rear-wheel drive. it is coupled w/ a 9.4kWh electric motor adding an additional 95hp to the mix. The Panamera S E-hybrid is capable of 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 167 mph. This plug-in hybrid can reach a full charge in 2 and a half hours. This will set you back $99,000 BTW.
