Starting today, you can now access Google Play Music library + services through your Sonos controller. Android users will be able to control their tunes via the Google Play app while iOS users will have to utilize the Sonos controller. Just as long as you’re streaming on the same Wi-Fi network you can output locations seamlessly. Like playing locally from your headphones then coming home to then play from your Play speakers. Android gets a leg as since it play via the Google Music app, you get access to stream via Chromecast as well.
For many Sonos users and Google Music subscribers, this is the day they’ve been waiting for. As an added bonus, Sonos owners who have yet to try the service will get 3 months of Google Music for free. For others, they may not be as excited as they’re Rdio or Spotify users.
