After months of internet hype and guerrilla-style marketing, the company OnePlus has finally put their $$$ where their mouth is. Earlier this morning, their announced their vision of the new Android flagship w/ the One Plus One. Not to be confused w/ HTC’s flagship, this is NOT that.
Never settle for just a Nexus when you have the OnePlus One.
The One is put together like a dream phone for many – especially if you’re into specs. It sports a 5.5inch IPS 1080p HD display @401ppi, powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU, 3GB of RAM, arrives in a 16GB or 64GB storage options, has a f/2.0 13MP Sony Exmor lens on the back + dual LED flash, 5MP shooter in the front, capable of recording 4K video, 3100 mAh battery, and front-facing speakers courtesy of JBL.
It runs Android but particular version, its a custom skin based off of pure Android called Cyanogen Mod. The One runs a modified version w/ CM11S, allowing you to customize w/ thousands of themes or return to stock. You will have built-in voice activated features like the Moto X. And lastly, you also have the ability to encrypt text messages for a more secure means of communication.
The One Plus will go on sale globally including the US sometime in the near future. The 16GB model will come in Silk White for $299 while the 64GB will arrive in Sandstone Black for $349. Although this won’t be available at launch, the One also will have personalized rear backplate options like the Moto X with: Bamboo, Wood, Denim, and Kevlar.
