In a surprise move, looks like HTC will be crafting the new Nexus tablet. The folks over at Android Police is on fire w/ this leaks + tips as of late. They got word of HTC’s new Nexus tablet codenamed the Volantis and it looks great. The Volantis is said to sport:
- 8.9″ Display at 2048×1440 (281ppi)
- NVIDIA Logan 64-bit processor (Tegra K1)
- 2GB RAM
- 16/32GB internal storage
- 8MP OIS main camera, 3MP front facing camera
- Aluminum zero-gap construction
- Stereo front-facing speakers
- 8.91″x5.98″x0.31″ body (that’s 22.63×15.19×0.79cm)
- 418g (or 427g with LTE) (that’s 14.74/15.1 ounces)
I wonder if the Volantis is the result of this tablet that was leaked many moons ago. The info from Android Police states that the tablet won’t be expected anytime soon. More like around the 4th quarter. The pricing is said to be around $399 for the 16GB model & $499 for the 32GB model w/ talks of a LTE-connected model.
I don’t know about you guys but I’m excited that HTC is back w/ the Nexus program even if it is short-lived. What do you guys think about this?
