Sony has definitely been bringing the heat w/ all of their efforts in regards to the PlayStation 4. Yesterday at Gamescom was no exception either. Coming this Fall is their v2.0 software update and its bringing a game changer to the mix.
Along w/ bringing YouTube upload support, it will also add Share Play to the mix. Share Play will allow you to virtually pass your friend the controller just as long as they too are a PS Plus subscriber. Crazy, right? Familiar too, right?
This is in a nutshell what Microsoft wanted to do w/ the Xbox One before reneging due to DRM issues. Well, Sony seemed to have bypassed that issue and will become available in a few weeks. It is great moves like this why Sony has already sold 10 million PS4 consoles and Xbox One sales are struggling to keep up.
