HTC Nexus Volantis
While there has been rumblings of a HTC Nexus tablet arriving later this year, but there’s a bit more proof emerged to prove its existence. The folks over at the Bright Side Of The News stumbled across some of NVIDIA’s legal documents from their forthcoming legal war w/ Qualcomm + Samsung over GPU patents seen below.

NVIDIA’s latest Tegra K1 CPU is said to be powering the tablet along w/ other upcoming products. It also mentions being released sometime during the 3rd quarter as well. This put the announcement right along w/ HTC’s upcoming Double Exposure event happening in early October.

Previous reports have the Nexus 9 sporting an 8.9inch display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB + 32GB storage options, 8MP rear shooter w/ OIS – all within an aluminum build. Very curious to see how all of this plays out. We’ll continue to keep you all posted as this develops.

Update:

The folks over at the Wall Street Journal that the HTC-branded Nexus 9 is coming sooner rather than later.  This is set to replace the outdated Nexus 10 rather than be sold next tot he Nexus 7.  So don’t expect this tablet to be a cheap one.  It will launch alongside the release of Android L as it will ship running the latest from Android as well.
