According to a recent interview w/ CNET, we can expect to see Android Wear’s 1st big update sometime this week. It will just add some navigation + voice control fixes so don’t expect anything earth-shattering – just yet. Google has bigger updates on the way as they’re set to arrive before year’s end.
GPS + Bluetooth headset support is on the way for Android Wear.
Expect to see cooler things like support for custom watch faces and GPS + Bluetooth headsets are set for a near-future launch. This would help in better tracking your movements when running as well as storing tunes on your watch to play on your Bluetooth headphones. We’ll see if this will help differentiate the wearable platform a bit more.
Many Android Wearers I know have already stopped wearing it. Maybe this will help them put it back on.
