After making huge strides in revenue + subscribers, T-Mobile continues to change the game and break the mold in regards to what we are used to in the wireless mobile market. They unveiled the next-gen Wi-Fi capabilities w/ their smartphones. While T-Mo already supports Wi-Fi calling, HD Voice, & VoLTE, this helps cover the best service no matter where you are in your home.
T-Mobile is fighting to give you great connection everywhere in your home.
Every new T-Mobile phone is now a Wi-Fi enabled. Their new technology allows you to hand off Wi-Fi calls to LTE and back again seamlessly. Their making every Wi-Fi connection into a T-Mobile cell tower. They’re doing this by giving you a dual and 2.4GHz + 5GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi router. This will be free w/ a $25 deposit starting September 17th for qualifying T-Mo subscribers using their Simple Choice plans.
Also, T-Mobile partnered w/ Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi to get free text messaging and access to visual voicemail while in the air. You still won’t have the ability to make calls or access Gogo’s Wi-Fi but its a great start.
T-Mobile continues to make treat their customers w/ additional bonus services just for being w/ the carrier. Their goal is to beat Sprint by the end of the year and is on target to doing so. AT&T is next on their list.
