For those of you who might have missed it, Google acquired Songza earlier this year and nothing really came from it until today. They’re rolling out an update for Google Music app for Android that infuses some of the newly-purchased app’s feature into the mix. Songza specialized in playlist curation based on your day, mood, or activity. This curation will not be inside of the Listen Now area of their music app. The new playlists arrive in the form of new radio stations that can be cached and downloaded for offline enjoyment as well.
Those of you who utilized Songza, will now not have to deal w/ any type of ads. Other than that, it sports a new Material Design look. The one thing that you need to know is that the new feature is only available for All Access subscribers so if you’re not a paying customer, no curation for you. The update also applies to the desktop app as well so make sure you update that as well.
