TGSB weekend stream 7

As the year is rapidly coming to a close, we're already prepping for next year as Christmas, New Year's, + CES is right around the corner.  This week we finally got around to  reviewing the Galaxy Note 4 as the Arrow + Flash TV series had an awesome mid-season finale as well as rumblings of Sony looking to make some changes w/ the Spider-Man franchise.  We're almost done w/ our 2014 holiday gift guides as we have 2 more entries to add to complete it.  Anyways, our music picks are NSFW or warning for explicit lyrics, etc.  As for our visual streaming picks, we have one strictly for grown-ups and a DC animated series you can watch w/ your kids.

batmanbraveandbold

Batman: The Brave + The Bold (Netflix)

This is a nice recommendation to watch w/ the kids as this is a great introduction for them into Batman + the DC Universe.  Brave + the Bold focuses on Batman teaming up w/ 2 or more heroes to defeat a super villain or stop crimes.  Team-ups are a regular thing on this show as they show several members of the Justice League + DC Universe (both heroes + villains).  This is definitely a light-hearted + watered-down version of DC while still retaining the essence of each character.  Adults can easily enjoy it along w/ their kids.

true detective

True Detective (HBO Go)

This short but gritty crime series starring Matthew McConaughey + Woody Harrelson as 2 homicide detectives for the Louisiana State Police as they hunt a ritualistic serial killer within the span of 17 years.  It shows the 2 characters build a bond of friendship, get broken, and come back together as their personal lives intertwine w/ a case that hits home.  It is a crazy show but good nonetheless.  The series is short as it is only 8 episodes but a new cast + story is already int he works for season 2.
