If you’ve ever wished that you had the convenience of Keurig built into your fridge, the folks over at General Electric were obviously wished for the same thing – and made it happen. Earlier today, GE partnered w/ Keurig to unveil just that inside of their latest Cafe French Door fridge series.
With the Keurig you can brew 6-ounce, 8-ounce, or 10-ounce cup-sized beverages. For those of you asking, the Keurig supports over 400 varieties of K-Cups from over 60 brands like Folgers, Maxwell House, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Eight o’ Clock, and plenty more. But don’t fret, you still have an ice dispenser at your disposal too w/ the option to get crushed or cubed.
The fridge cranks out fresh, filtered water as the K-Cup brewer is dishwasher safe as well. Seeing that LCD display should give you a hint that it is connected. Meaning you can set set brew times w/ your smartphone via mobile app to make sure the water is hot + ready for you in the morning or whenever you need that shot of joe. And lastly, it EnergyStar certified as it uses a little electricity as possible – about the same as charging your phone overnight.
It will be available later in the fall, starting at $3,300 wherever appliances are sold. So, who’s looking forward to put some K-Cups into your fridge later this year?
