Last week, we told you about the Google’s progressing plans for a wireless network. The folks over at Wall Street Journal, got even more details on how Google’s network will work. Previously, we mentioned that the search giant will work w/ Sprint + T-Mobile networks but there’s more to it.
This is shaping up to be not your average MVNO.
Google will search through cellular connections to find the best signal available. Allowing those on Google’s network to be connected on Sprint, then T-Mobile, and then to an Wi-Fi hotspot at a Starbucks or McDonald’s. Making dead zones a thing of the past. All that you would need is a device that supports multiple GSM/CDMA/LTE bands like the last 2 Nexus smartphones and the 2 iPhone 6.
Google’s service is set to launch during the 1st half of the year as it will allow you to get the best + fastest connection w/o a long carrier contract.
