While the unveiling of the Galaxy S6 by Samsung is right around the corner, there are many of you still locked into contracts or payments plans w/ your S5. In other words, some of you aren't going anywhere. There's no reason why you should have enough battery power on the go.
Our friends over at TYLT has quite the solution for you w/ their Sliding Power Case which is part of their Energi family of products. Similar to the one we reviewed for the iPhone 5/5S, this is a bit different in the look of it. We're gonna get into how it is using it along w/ how good or how bad the battery pack is. Let's go.
Design/Build
Beware of the bulk.
While the outer case is also made of a polycarbonate material and adds a bit of bulk to your Galaxy S5. It does have a LED light as an battery life indicator that shows you the power status of your battery case. Blinking Red for no battery left, Red for low battery, Blue for the battery being half full, and Green for a full battery. Similar to other TYLT products.
The pack can completely charge your GS5 in 2 to 3 hours depending on where your battery life is. It can take several hours to charge the actual battery pack to full power as well. For those of you unfamiliar w/ battery cases, you can charge your phone while charging the pack.
