And out of left field comes Google to unveil the newest update for Android. Introducing Android 5.1, the newest update to our favorite green robot OS. This won’t bring any massive changes to Lollipop that the 5.0 bring but there will be some new additions to the overall OS.
This brings Device Protection, a new way to handle security for your device. It allows you the ability to remotely wipe and remain signed into your Google account. This feature work w/ most Android phones. Next up, we have HD Voice support for those of you who are T-Mobile or Verizon subscribers. Then you can join/control Bluetooth + Wi-Fi connections from Quick Settings. Lastly, you have the stability and performance enhancements as well as support for multiple SIM cards.
The new update will begin rolling out for T-Mobile Nexus devices except the 6. No word on when it will roll out for everyone else.
