While the M9 has yet to launch here in the US, HTC already announced a new protection plan for their 2015 flagship device w/ Uh-Oh Protection. Despite the name, think of it a free phone insurance directly from the manufacturer.
Looks like HTC is taking their Advantage plan and beefing it up even more.
HTC knows that bad things happen to good phones. Similar to their Advantage plan you get one-time screen replacement. Uh-Oh takes things a step further.
HTC will replace your M9 in case of drops, water damage, or malfunction for free within the 1st year. This goes for those of you who decide to switch carriers within the 1st 12 months of buying your M9 as well. Yeah, so if you switch form AT&T to T-Mobile they’ll swap out your AT&T variant M9 for a T-Mo for free. Insane. If you get Uh-Oh and don’t use the protection within the that 1st year, HTC will give you $100 towards a future HTC One model.
