Today on TGSB we want to introduce you to Spine eyewear.  This new innovative eyewear line is made to fit everyone (and we mean everyone).  You might ask why in the hell are we talking about glasses?  Simple.

These aren't just your regular eyewear here.  It can morph to fit any face shape or head size smoothly w/o any friction or being super-snug against your face.  It is made to stay on the bridge of your nose at all times.

So what makes these glasses so special?

Spine Eyewear is inspired by the human spine.  The hinge used was invented by Italian designer Guido Medana who has spent his entire career in engineering.  It has micro injected metal hinges that is patented w/ zero screws involved.  There are 5 working Spine vertebrae that works together to offer a 90-degree hinge opening as well as rotate 18-degrees to reduce friction in the arms of the glasses bending drastically.  This increases the limit in which these glasses can bend/open up as well as allow the hinges to keep arms closed whenever not in use.

The Spine sample I received was a pair of nice shades.  Definitely as flexible as advertised.  And can withstand your big-headed or wide-faced friend (we all have one) wanting to try them on w/o ruining them.  The only thing getting used to is when it automatically closes when you take it off.  Other than that, nothing bad to say about these.  I hope to see this tech adapted into more glasses on their inventory as well as outside of Spine.

Spine does arrive in both regular glasses + shades as it has been launched this past January.  Spine will be sold in optical retailers like REM Eyewear in the US, Centennial Optics in Canada, and Mondottica Eyewear for the rest of the world.
