Looks like Google is looking to do even more w/ Gmail in the very near future. Based on a report from Recode, Google is prepping a new service called Pony Express on the way. It would allow you to pay your bills from within Gmail.
It is supposed to make managing payments a lot easier. So instead of going to login to a variety of sites to make pay your bills like utilities, gym membership, phone bill, etc. You would be able to just pay via email. Google is working on making sure payments are authenticated via 3rd-party company. They would ask you, one-time, for your name, address, cc number, phone, and more. You’ll also have the ability to forward bills in case you need to split bills. After that, you will be able to receive bills through Gmail or Inbox.
Google will prep to work w/ vendors to print + mail bills straight to your Pony Express box. Check out the link below for even more screen shots to get a better idea of what it would look like.
