This afternoon, ASUS held a big press event in NYC to unveil what they have been working on. They brought their super-thin at 3.9mm, brushed aluminum ZenFone 2 to the US.
ASUS came ready to play w/ the big boys.
The ZenFone 2 is equipped w/ a 5.5inch 1080p display, powered by a 1.8GHz or a 2.3GHz Intel Atom 64-bit quad-core CPU, your choice of: 2GB of RAM + 16GB of storage or 4GB of RAM (that’s right, they went to 4 ahead of everyone else)+ 64GB of storage, a 3000 mAh battery that charges from 0-60% in only 39 minutes, and a dual SIM setup.
On the camera side of things, ASUS went w/ their own 13MP PixelMaster 2.0 and a 5MP shooter in the front. Capable of 140-degree ultra wide panorama selfies, low-light modes that uses pixel technology to offer 400% better light sensitivity for both the front + rear cameras, and a Super Resolution mode to create a 52MP image.
It will be sold online only and unlocked for only $199 (16GB) or $299 (64GB) and arrives in the US tomorrow at Amazon, B&H, Groupon, & NewEgg.
