While we already know that Windows 10 is on the way very soon, Microsoft is doing away w/ Media Center as well. Media Center was the precursor to many technologies we have enjoy today on the regular in regards to playing media form a computer to your TV. Good thing they already have a solution in mind w/ a TV DVR for the Xbox One.
TV DVR on the Xbox One – It was bound to happen.
This bit of news comes from tech blogger Paul Therrot as he cites the solution is already here. Their next-gen consoles already has those features as part of their Game DVR. To go from capturing live gameplay to recording live TV really wouldn’t be too much of a stretch. Of course a larger hard drive would be necessary when you start incorporating TV shows as well as games. You could easily eat through a 1TB HD in a short amount of time.
So who’s looking forward to this feature? I know I am.
