After a few days of teasing us via their social media outlets, AT&T has finally made their ‘exclusive’ version of the S6 official. Meet the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. Similar to previous versions of the Active Galaxy devices, this one is made to take a beating from what comes from daily life.
The S6 Active is equipped w/ a IP68-rated body that is water-resistant, dust-proofing, and can withstand drops thanks to its protective camouflage casing. Other than that, you still have a 5.1inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos octa-core 64-bit CPU, 32GB of storage, running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop w/ TouchWiz UX, a front-facing 5MP & rear-facing 16MP shooter, and a much bigger 3500 mAh battery. You also have a new Quick Launch button on the left side to pull up apps like the Flashlight, compass, or others from its Activity Zone.
The S6 Active comes in 3 colors: Camo White, Camo Blue and Gray. You can pick it up for $0 down using AT&T Next 24 for 30 monthly payments of $23.17 or 24 payments of $28.96 w/ Next 18 or 20 payments of $34.75 w/ Next 12. It goes on sale later this week on June 12th.
