Kicking things off w/ E3 today, Xbox dropped a major announcement. One that many Xbox 360 owners have been waiting for -backwards compatibility for the Xbox One.
Time to buy a bigger hard drive.
It will work like this: you ave to have the original disc as you place into the slot drive, then download the digital edition to the Xbox One to be played natively. It will be for free as you won’t get charged for games you already own. 100 games will be supported by this holiday season as more is expected to arrive later.
Those who are a part of the Xbox One preview program will have a selection of games available right now as everyone else will have to wait until the holiday season. I hope you didn’t sell or giveaway all of your 360 games.
