Many of you may not have never heard of Verizon’s Hopeline program.  It’s Ok, we’ll let you know all about it.  Domestic violence is a terrible issue that goes on in people’s lives and Verizon’s Hopeline is their way of helping.   This program is about taking action against domestic violence by collecting donated phones to help connect survivors of domestic abuse to resources as well as to fund domestic violence organizations worldwide.

This new PSA was revealed over the 4th of July weekend at the Essence Music Festival to raise even more awareness to the matter.  The Hopeline teamed up w/ celebrities like Terence J, Justine Skye, Omarion, and Morris Chestnut.   Their goal is to reach 1 million phone donations by the end of the year.

To donate, simply bring your device (wiped clean & no microSD or SIM card) along w/ charger and whatever other accessories you choose to down to your local Verizon wireless retailer into the Hopeline bin.  If you don’t have time to do so, just print out the pre-paid label and ship it inside of a package.
