Finally! I know I for one, have been waiting for this to come through. Earlier today, Instagram rolled a major update for both Android & iOS apps. The new update allows for users to upload photos in landscape for better view of your shot. It also allows for portrait photos to appear longer in your timeline. Making it ideal for full body photos and wide shots.
When uploading your photo, you’ll now see a format button above the camera roll. This will allow you to toggle between square and full-size images as you can still pinch-to-zoom to crop as well. No more having to utilize apps like Instasize or another 3rd-party app to squeeze landscape photos for the gram w/o cropping them into a square.
