hulu-logoHulu is still riding high on their acquisition of exclusive streaming rights to Seinfeld.  The streaming service is looking to step things up a bit further.  Yesterday, they announced a 2nd paid tier option for ad-free streaming.

So now you have the standard option w/ ads for $8.99 monthly and now the ad-free option for $11.99.  The free Hulu option will still continue to exist.  The reason for the split is to satisfy those despising the ads as the company is looking to drive new content.  Like their originals like Difficult People and their revived Mindy Project.

Being only a few dollars more, this could actually be big for the streaming service.  Now all they need is more good original content (which they are working on) and cord-cutters will flock to them.  Are you making the switch over to no commercials?
