Out of nowhere, Pebble unveiled a 3rd smartwatch as part of their Time line up for 2015. Introducing the Pebble Time Round: a newer, thinner, & rounder version of the Time Steel. Don’t get too excited as it is still lacks a touchscreen and is just more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
No touchscreen still, just rounder & prettier.
The Time Round is only 7.5mm thin making it thinner than previous Pebbles and other smartwatches on the market right now. It will arrive in 2 band sizes of 14mm (Black, Silver, & Rose Gold colors) and 20mm(Black & Silver colors). Other than the look, it is exactly the same as it runs their new TimeLine OS along w/ voice action features baked in.
Thos of you who bought a Time Steel via KickStarter will get a discount for the new Round. Time Steel backers can actually reserve their Round now and save $50 when it ships. You can try out the Round for 30 days w/ your Time Steel and if you want to return either watch, you’re Time Round order will be refunded. If you want to keep them both, you’ll only be charged the discounted price for the Time Round. Awesome news for Time Steel backers but if you’re like me who backed the regular Time, you’re out of luck.
This will also be the 1st pebble not available on Kickstarter as you will be able to purchase one at Amazon, Best Buy, Target and Pebble’s site at launch. It is priced at $249.99 and will ship out in November.
