Looks like we’re getting some more insight on what Nintendo is up to in regards to their next-gen console: the NX. Thanks to the folks over at The Wall Street Journal, we have more details that makes things more interesting and actually exciting for Nintendo.
Think of the Wii U & 3DS combined as one system.
So far, we got some details like we can expect to see it within ‘industry-leading chips’ to better compete w/ the competition: the Xbox One & PS4. The NX will also be a more 2-pronged attack on both console & mobile areas. It is said to offer a console and a mobile unit that can be used together or separately while out-and-about. In other words, think of the Wii U and the 3DS being one system where you could interchange your games for being on your TV or play while you commute somewhere or a long trip.
Very interesting as I am getting excited for what Nintendo has to offer. Combining in this w/ their mobile efforts w/ their DeNA for bringing properties to mobile gaming. This might be the big turn around Nintendo in the gaming world it so desperately needed.
