We knew it was coming, but here it is w/ the brand-spanking-new Microsoft Band. This is their new-and-improved wearable made to keep you connected as well as in shape.
The new band offers a curved OLED display as it has a built-in GPS, UV monitoring, barometer, guided workouts, sleep tracking, calorie tracking, and your notifications. It also brings Cortana into the mix to make it even smarter as it is officially a smart band. All of these sensors make for an even better experience but do more as well. You can pay for your Starbucks w/ it, run up mountains or other elevated exercises while still offering accurate readings, and be used w/o being needed to be connected to a device.
All of the recorded data syncs w/ the new Microsoft Health app that gathers all of your stats. The cool thing about the new Health app is that you don’t need to use the new Band. They have opened it up to work w/ other bands like Jawbone UP and others.
The newBand will cost you $249 and available on October 30th w/ pre-orders kicking off today.
