Tesla software 7.0 Kicking things off is their self-driving Autopilot feature. Bringing forth automated lane changes, parallel parking, emergency steering, and side collision warning. This new Autopilot does not work w/ Stop signs & red lights but it can navigate around vehicles. It’s like adaptive cruise control on steroids. The features of the new update will only work when there is no inclement weather and clear roads. So you don’t want to use it w/ snow, fog, or heavy rain.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that a completely autonomous vehicle from Tesla won’t arrive for at least another 3 years. This new update is a step into that direction though to hold us over. Some might consider this a preview of that future.
