We already told you how Google Photos is a great way to manage your photos on and preferably off your device. And now, the app is getting even better. Google announced a new update that will help out even better in manage your phone storage.
3 Reasons Why You Should Be Using Google Photos
It will now be able to check your device storage to match up against the same photos/videos that are in your Photos cloud storage and delete the ones on your phone. To do this, you just go to Settings and hit Free Up Space and the Assistant will let you know how much space can be saved.
Once, the photos/videos are deleted, you can always download them again from the Photos app. Update the app to v1.9 to make use fo this feature.
