If you live in San Francisco, you might be one of the lucky residents to experience 1Gbps internet speeds as Google Fiber will be making its way there. Now don’t get too excited as everyone in San Fran won’t get blessed w/ the fiber optic speed.
Initially, Google Fiber is set to arrive to only some of the apartments & condos in San Fran. Google is in the process of getting interested property managers of affordable public housing on-board to get access to the speed in their buildings. Google will have to use existing fiber networks to make all of this happen.
